Bottle feeding when I return to work

Hello,

My daughter is 8 weeks old and I am returning to work next week. She is not happy taking a bottle of my breast milk and I wondered if you had any suggestions of how to make this transition easier. We have tried a couple different nipples, warning the breast milk more, and warming the nipple, but she is still very fussy at it.

I have read that we may be able to give her the milk out of sippy cup, but was not sure if she was old enough for that. Also, some of the nipples we have tried are faster flowing and I was not sure if that was okay, given her age. She did take the bottle when given occasionally when I would step out, but this last week, she is not happy with it.

Any help you can give would be great!!

This is answered on one of my webpages. I will provide the link below. I would like to answer your second question about the sippy cup also: NO, a child can only have a sippy cup when they are sitting up on their own. That usually happens around 6 months of age.
Here is the link for bottle tips: Pay close attention to the type bottle and who is giving the bottle. click here formore info on starting bottles
