Breastfeeding in a Car Wash

My daughter is now 3 years old and we just know the reason we have been so fortunate in her only having a couple of minor sicknesses is due to my breastfeeding her the first year of her life. I was very fortunate that we both caught on to breast feeding immediately with no snags at all. We both loved it from the very beginning. We are expecting a boy in 4 weeks, hopefully he will love it like his big sister.
My funny story about breastfeeding our daughter occurred when she was only a couple weeks old. My husband was recovering from kidney stones and I still recovering from a c-section. We were caught spending all of our time traveling back and forth between home and my grandparents home 2 hours away due to my grandfather being ill. We were all exhausted. I was still strictly breastfeeding and had not yet introduced pumped milk to her in a bottle, so if she became hungry during our travel there was nothing to do, but pull over and let the sweet girl eat. One particular afternoon we were half way home and she let us know she was hungry-nothing was going to quiet her. So we pulled into a car wash in this small town and I nursed her until ALL three of us fell asleep. We slept in that car wash for over an hour and a half-no one came up or at least no one bothered us. I think it was exactly what we ALL needed. Thank God for breastfeeding that we all were able to get some much needed rest in a car wash.
