If you own asingle use pump these are some tips on how to clean your breastpump parts and keep them germ free.- After you finish pumping allow your pump to stay on to clear any possible moisture out of your tubing
- Store your tubing hanging , do not store in an enclosed bag
- Wash the rest of the parts in very warm soapy water, dry with a clean rag or allow to air dry in between uses. again do not storein an enclosed bag unless it is a microwave sterilizer bag.
- If you prefer, you may use a microwave sterilizer bag or breastpump wipes to clean your parts.
Read the manufactures guidelines, many do recommend sterilizing your parts in warm water ONCE per day. Sterilizing options are: top shelf of dishwasher, boiling water for 10-15 minutes, microwave sterilizers or electric sterilizers. You can use wipes like this to wipe down your actual pump:
