My name is Liz Pevytoe. I am the owner of Pevytoe Consulting.
My mission is to provide the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex with exceptional prenatal education and lactation support. I have a team of experience professionals who enable me to provide group, private and online prenatal classes as well as in home breastfeeding support.
About me
First and foremost, I must give God the glory for instilling in me a passion for breastfeeding. Without Him, I am nothing. Anything good in me comes from Him, I take no credit.
I am a mother of two daughters. Emma was born in 2000 and Abby in 2004. I breastfed Emma for 10 months. I returned to work at 6 weeks with her, so I supplemented with formula some to make up for my supply loss while working. (a regretful mistake) When Abby came along 4 years later, due to some unforseen circumstances, I made the decision to stay home. So she was exclusively breastfed for 2 years. I weaned her at 2 years because I was done, she would still be nursing to this day had I let her!
Abby and I had a VERY rough start with breastfeeding and I will share those experiences with you in this website.
I have been a registered nurse for since 1995 (makes me feel really old to say that) and a board certified (IBCLC) lactation consultant since 2003.
I am married to Jeff, a firefighter/paramedic. We have been together for over half my life. YIKES. We started dating when I was 18, such a baby. Married since 1995 TO THE SAME PERSON (lol) which is quite an accomplishment these days. In my spare time, I love to bake, spend time outside with my chickens or work on my vermiculture project.
