The Nursing Cover

Nursing covers: In years past, moms struggled with using a blanket to provide discretion during a breastfeeding session. Now it is super easy with a breastfeeding cover-up or shawl.

These amazing products allow for discreet nursing AND some even allow viewing of baby during the feed.

All this being said, I am in TOTAL support of moms who want to openly nurse. I don't eat with a blanket on my head, so why should a baby have to!

But I completely understand if you want to be more modest. It is just like in high school, some girls openly changed clothes in front of other girls while there was ME changing in a bathroom stall!

Wow, that is a big picture, huh? I love it though, you can barely see my little Abby peeking her head through!

The hooter hider style in the photo is one I made, trust me if I can do it you can too. I also developed instructions that I used to sell on ebay. But you get them free here on this website. Click here to view the breastfeeding coverup instructions document.

The options are many but the two most common styles are the types with boning in the top hem ,to allow for easy viewing of baby during breastfeeding sessions, (as seen in photo) or the shawls which can double as a blouse/top.

Is a breastfeeding cover mandatory? Absolutely not. You can use nothing, most states allow for breastfeeding in public, with protection for mom. And there is no requirement for covers.

Also, you can simply use a receiving blanket. They now make some neat gauze fabric blankets too, so the babies don't get hot.
