Pump It Up

My first time trying to use a breast pump I thought that I did everything right. I made sure I had a nice comfy chair. I cleaned and washed the pump before using it. My baby was nice and relaxed...I sat down and began to pump. I pressed, and pressed until my fingers turned red. I tried this again, and again. Finally my hubby came in, and said "T you don't need to plug it up?" I was sooo embarassed. Exhausted, and embarrassed I decided to try to pump again.
