The Itsy Bitsy Biter

by Nicki
(Texas)

My daughter was about five months old, and we are out eating at one of our favorite mexican food resturants. I am doing my usual, eating one handed, nursing under a hooter hider, and talking with the family. My daughter starts making bubbles with her milk, and little sounds. Something she had just learned to do, and she starts cooing. Almost laughing. We all think it's cute and go on about our business. About five minutes later my daughter clamped down with the most fearsome bite she could have at her age (and with bare gums). I scream, almost fall out of my chair. As if that were not bad enough the waiter behind me, drops his tray of food all over the place, and our waitress ran over asking what had happened. I simply stated that my daughter had become the Itsy Bitsy Biter. She was laughing so hard she could barely control herself. As for the poor waiter behind me I think he thought I was insane. :-)

Note from Liz: I LOVE this story....hopefully you did not drop your margarita :)
