Trying to breastfeed with baby in NICU

Is my baby not hungry enough to eat? I don't have him on a schedule yet. He's only 3 days old. I think he's being fed through the IV and he's not really interested to nurse.

I do not have enough information. You do not say why your baby is in the nicu. Premature? breathing problems? infection? congenital abnormality? Too small? There are a million variables as to why your baby is not wanting to suckle. All of which can be helped by a lactation consultant. If your hospital has a nicu, they should have a lactation consultant. If they do not, ask them to refer you to one local who can help you. This is something you will need in person help with.
Keep pumping until it resolves and dont give up!
