Breast Pump Reviews

Breast Pump Reviews: The following are my personal review of the three BREASTPUMPS I recommend to my clients. These are the ONLY breastpumps I recommend. Why? Because they have a proven track record of efficiency and safety.
They are in Alphabetic order, I have no real preference.
And for simplicities sake they each carry the exact same warranty: 90 days on parts and 1 year on base motor. (as long as you purchase from an authorized dealer and are the original owner) AMEDA
I recommend this pump brand with confidence. I did personally use the Purely yours double electric model and had excellent results with it.

Pro's:

  • Price in moderate range
  • Multiple size flanges available
  • Very quiet
  • Efficient pump
  • Excellent customer service
  • Con's:

  • Difficult to find retailer, mostly available online
  • Assembly was somewhat confusing
  • Hygeia
Although I have not used this exact pump , I recommend it with confidence. It is easing its way to the #1 position for me for recommendation for several reasons.

    Pro's

  • #1 it is a MULTI USER PUMP!!! this is huge, no other pump in this price range is graded for multi users, this means you can resale the pump when you are finished with it or keep it for future babies and the motors wont wear out like the others.
  • Price is most economical on my list
  • Multiple size flanges available
  • Very quiet
  • Efficient pump
  • Very lightweight
  • Con's

  • limited retailers because it is relatively new to the US market
  • not enough reviews to have a full opinion on how it works
  • MEDELA
If you have not heard of this brand you probably have lived in a cave. ha. Really, it is the most popular pump on the market. I did use the Pump in Style and Pump in Style Advanced with excellent results.

    Pro's

  • easy to find retail
  • parts readily available retail
  • Multiple size flanges available
  • excellent customer service
  • lots of accessories available
  • Con's

  • Most expensive of my reviewed pumps
  • loudest of reviewed pumps
  • Frequent complaint of moisture in tubing
  • pump motors only graded for 500 hrs of use which equals 10 months for a full time working mom, then it does not work efficiently, so basically they are disposable for $300+
