Hi there, I have a 4 week old and I am exclusivly brestfeeding what are the chances of getting pregnant?

Answer from the lactation consultant

If you are having sex, then you can get pregnant. No matter what the circumstance.

It is not normal for one to be cleared to have sex prior to 6 weeks after having a baby because the risk of injury and infection. Did your doctor ok you for intercourse? If not, you need to see him/her immediately.
Breastfeeding is NOT a form of birth control unless you are following very strictly your cycles. And at 4 weeks there is no way to follow it. So, If you had unprotected sex, you could likely be pregnant.
