Breast Feeding Shirts

Breast feeding shirts have come a long way since the birth of my first child in 2000. And a REALLY long way since my mom had me in 1973. That was the era of nursing smocks -YIKES.

I have chosen a few nursing tops to showcase for you.

Tanks

This first group are not really tops but I considered a great nursing tank to be my favorite top. I could wear it around the house alone and simply grab a button down top on my way out the door and VIOLA a simple outfit that met all my needs. These nursing tanks are 24/7 too, you can even sleep in them. YIPEE!

Nursing Tops

Nursing tops can be both pretty and functional.

Love this, it has a secret nursing opening! Click on the link and go to the main page to see.

Why oh why did they not have awesome nursing blouses like this when I was nursing, BOOHOO. This is gorgeous from A Pea in the Pod:

Nursing Shawls

Nursing shawls are a very stylish way to be completely discreet while nursing. They are like a wearable nursing cover.

This BUTTERFLY shawl boasts of being a shawl, nursing cover and skirt ALL IN ONE! And it comes in black, purple and a gorgeous bright marine blue.

You can turn any top into a nursing top, really. All you need is access to the breasts, so a tight top might not be the best choice. I have nurse many times in a two piece swimsuit. You can make anything work.
